11 Steps of the Home Buying Process:

10. Closing the transaction

The closing is the event where the seller, buyer, and any other necessary parties formally meet. Your agent is charged by the state to ensure the closing settlement statement, also known as the HUD-1 is filled out correctly. Among the many forms and documents that are signed, the HUD-1 is signed by both real estate agents, along with the buyers and sellers.

Most of the time this meeting occurs at a local title company but can also be transacted at an attorney's office. The title company assesses a fee of about $200 to transact this process and it is customarily split between the seller and buyer.

We will accompany to the closing and ensure that everything you agree to is completed.
